Chili Challenge returning

MANCHESTER - The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Manchester, have announced the return of the Annual Chili Challenge, now in its 22nd year, which will be held on Wednesday, April 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Manchester.

While it's a different date and venue, it will be the same fun event for the entire family. The Chili Challenge is a fun evening to showcase your chili, macaroni and cheese and/or a wing recipe. Or, come taste and vote on a favorite chili, mac and cheese, or wings.

Restaurants and individual chefs have long enjoyed this evening to promote their establishments while at the same time assisting the town of Manchester and the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department in their fundraising efforts. This year all proceeds will go towards the 4th of July Fireworks and the Town of Manchester Summer Street Fests.

The Fourth of July and Summer Street Fests showcase the attributes of the town, its retail establishments, restaurants, and its activities to area residents and visitors. Admission is $6 per person.
