Chaffee calls artists for exhibit

RUTLAND - The Chaffee Art Center is calling artists from New England and beyond to participate in The Art of Dying Exhibit honoring the 40th Anniversary of Hospice Care in the United States in collaboration with RAVNAH (Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice).

The Chaffee is looking for artwork that embodies the theme The Art of Dying.

Interested artists are asked to fill out applications on the Chaffee website - - to be submitted with 6 digital images of proposed artwork, resume, artist statement, and a statement of the work embodies The Art of Dying to the Chaffee Art Center, P.O. Box 1447, Rutland, VT 05701 or email to info@chaffeeartcenter .org. The application deadline is Sept. 27. All submissions will be blind juried by the Chaffee's Exhibition Committee and applicants will be notified of acceptance by Oct. 3.

This exhibit will be located at the historic Chaffee Art Center at 16 South Main Street (U.S. Rte 7) in Rutland.
