Castleton soccer coach to offer clinic

MANCHESTER >> John O'Connor, Castleton University's men's soccer coach, is coming to Manchester to administer the U.S. Youth Soccer National "E" course. The National "E" is an 18-hour course, which covers the elementary principles of coaching and prepares interested coaches for the "D" license course. All SVM Fusion head coaches will be taking this course which will give Fusion players the high quality coaching expected of a top travel program.

John O'Connor owns an extensive coaching resume that has spanned over 20 years at both the Division I and Division III level. He has served as the head coach for the University of Rhode Island from 2006-2012. During his tenure with the Rams he won an Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship and reached the tournament semifinals on two other occasions. Three of his former players went on to play in Major League Soccer.
