Car crashes into bank in Dorset
DORSET -- A vehicle driven by a Dorset man crashed into the front of the Berkshire Bank building on Church Street Friday morning, Dec. 6, but there were no injuries that resulted from the collision, according to a report from the Manchester Police Department.
Fred Dieffenbach, 80, was driving a 2002 Volvo V70 when he accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes as he was attempting to park his car. The vehicle lurched forward, colliding with the bank building.
There was significant damage done to the structure of the building, police said, as well as to the front of Dieffenbach's vehicle.
