Candidates set for public offices in Manchester

MANCHESTER >> Several town offices are up for grabs this year during Town Meeting elections, The two seats in play for the Manchester School board offer competitive races where voters will have to choose between two candidates.

One is for the 3-year school board seat currently held by Brian Vogel, the chairman of the school board. He is being challenged by Jim Lind. A 2-year school board seat currently held by Mary Beth O'Donnell will be contested by Patrick Monroe and Joe Hoffman. O'Donnell will not be running for re-election.

On the Select Board, a 2-year seat currently held by Lisa Souls, who is also not running for re-election, will be sought by Greg Cutler. The other seat in play this year is a 3-year post currently held by Steve Nichols, who is running unopposed for re-election.

Michael Nawrath is planning to run for re-election for school moderator and town moderator as a write-in candidate. His name will not appear on the ballot, however.

Andrew Shaw is running unopposed for re-election as trustee of public funds, a 3-year position.
