Burglaries strike River Road area in Arlington
On Feb. 22, the Vermont State Police responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on River Road. Troopers were told that between 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, and Friday, Feb. 22 at 1 a.m., someone broke into the residence and stole a large amount of jewelry. An investigation into the robbery is continuing, state police said.
On Feb. 22, the Vermont State Police responded to a another report of a burglary at a different residence on River Road. According to a state police press statement, upon arriving at the scene, Troopers learned that sometime between Monday, Feb. 18, at 8 p.m., and Friday, Feb. 22, shortly after 8 p.m., someone broke into the residence and stole a small amount of jewelry.
On Feb.23, the Vermont State Police were responsible for investigating two reported burglaries, according to a press release. The first burglary took place on Route 315 in Rupert. The second took place on River Road in Arlington. The burglaries are not believed to be connected, however the suspect/suspects gained access to both homes using the front door. The victims were not home at the time. Both victims are missing coins and metals from their homes. The Vermont State Police are continuing to investigate both incidents.
