'Bullies And Bystanders Be Aware' at Mettawee

WEST PAWLET - On Wednesday, Nov. 7, the Mettawee Community School, in partnership with the Mettawee Community PTO, will host TIGER (Theatre Integrating Guidance, Education and Responsibility) performing "Bullies And Bystanders Be Aware."

TIGER, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary season, is a professional theatre company based at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, N.H.

The company is designed to help children, schools, parents and communities deal proactively and positively with social issues and concerns facing children in schools today.

"Bullies And Bystanders Be Aware" is meant to help students in grades K-8 tackle the difficult issue of bulling in schools today through empowering the bystander.

Mettawee Community School principal Brooke DeBonis initiated the hosting of this important and informative presentation.

"We are excited to have TIGER come to our school to teach our kids how to deal with bullying in school, online, and socially," said DeBonis "The goal is to raise awareness and increase understanding of how to respond to bullying."

The performance will be held at Mettawee Community School on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. Parents and community members are welcome to come.
