Bulldogs stay unbeaten in baseball

MANCHESTER -- The Burr and Burton Academy baseball team used a timely fourth-inning rally to remain unbeaten after a 8-5 win over Granville, N.Y.

Down 5-3, Zack Stewart hit a grounder and reached on a throwing error, allowing two runs to score and tie the game at 5-5. The next two batters, Noah Rizio and Jake Stalcup, each doubled in runs to make it 7-5.

Dalton Blackwell started, allowing five runs (three earned) in three innings. Stalcup came in and earned the win, setting down the final 12 hitters in a row with five strikeouts.

BBA looks to stay undefeated in a Wednesday game against Fair Haven.
