Bulldogs repeat as 'Super Bowl' champs

MANCHESTER - The Green and Gold Equinox Bulldogs defended their Super Bowl title Sunday afternoon, defeating the Brunswick Bulldogs 20-0 to cap their perfect 9-0 season.

The young Bulldog defense comprised of five fifth graders played flawless for four quarters shutting out Brunswick's powerful running attack. Johnson and Morganitini were responsible for the three touchdown runs due to outstanding blocking from the offensive line that allowed them to break outside for the scores.

Both Bulldog teams came to the field with an 8-0 record and Division Champion titles.

Over the past two seasons, the Senior Bulldogs have compiled a record of 18-0, with two Northern Division titles and two Super Bowl wins.

The Senior Bulldog youth football team is a 25 player roster made up of fifth and sixth graders. The sixth grade Bulldogs are: Jake Nicholson, Holt Bigelow, Eli Johnson, Scott Stannard, Jack Lane, Olivier Cazaudumec, William Simmers, Owen King, Shane Whittaker, Atrau Roberts, and Casper Rowe.The fifth Grade Bulldogs are: Grace Pinkus, Austin Gras, Tristen Louden, Joey McCoy, Thomas Redmond, John Morgantini, Mason Snide, Logan Morgan, Michael Derita, Ethan Simonds, Joe Wimley, Colton White, Timothy Keyes, and Nasier Camp. The team is coached by Tom McCoy, Tim Simonds, Howard Morgan and Andrew Nicholson.
