Bromley G.M. Cairns named president

BROMLEY MT. - Joseph J. O'Donnell, owner of Bromley Mountain Resort, has announced that Bromley's General Manager, Bill Cairns, has been named the resort's president.

"Bill's been with Bromley for 32 years. His first job was 'lift painter' and he's held just about every other position on the mountain, from Lift Attendant to Snowmaker to Mountain Manager to GM, since then. The title 'president' is one that he deserves, and is commensurate with his unparalled dedication to this mountain," said Tyler Fairbank who is the co-owner of Bromley's management company, Mountain Resort Management, LLC with his father Brian.

Bromley's Director of Marketing, Michael van Eyck said that Cairns let him know immediately it was because of the staff that he and Bromley were so successful.

"When Bill called me upstairs and told me the news, he mentioned immediately that this was a 'testament to the team around me,'" said van Eyck said. "He pretty much brushed aside my congratulations, saying that one person can't run a mountain and that Bromley's ongoing success is the result of loyalty and teamwork and that's why we all enjoy working for Bill."

Bromley Mountain is located at 3984 Vermont Route 11, Peru, Vermont, six miles east of Manchester. For information on any and all things Bromley, visit
