Students from Southern Vermont College, who are part of the Shires Press Publishing Program in collaboration with the Northshire Bookstore, gave a reading of their just-published work recently at the retail store. The Shires Press Program is a four-semester curriculum that guides students through the publishing process—from manuscript writing and editing to publishing and promotion.
Two of the finished books, "A Gray Man" by Lucas Gelheiser '16 and "A Brother's Love" by Cameron Curtiss '16, are now on sale at the Northshire Bookstore and online. From left, SVC students Sarah Weiler '17, Curtiss, and Gelheiser pose with Debbi Wraga, Indie Press Manager at the Bookstore, and SVC Humanities Division Chair Jennifer Burg.
