Bike swap planned


MANCHESTER >> Southern Vermont is having an early bicycle season and it is time for the first Bike Swap on Saturday & Sunday, April 9 and 10 at Battenkill Bicycles, located at 99 Bonnet Street from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Kids growing? Need a bigger bike? Want to get rid of your old bike? Need cash? Want to support the Community Food Cupboard?

If you are looking for a good used bicycle then come to the Bike Swap. Run like a tag sale, it's a way for folks to clean out the garage of old bikes or nd a great deal on a used bike including select bikes from the rental stock that will also be for sale.

To participate, interested sellers can start to bring their sale items to Battenkill Bicycles at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning to register and set pricing for the weekend.

At 9:30, both days, the public is welcome to stop by and browse through the bikes. There is no commission charged, however successful sellers and buyers are asked to make a suitable cash donation which goes in its entirety to the

Community Food Cupboard. Staff will be on hand to help with any pricing or t questions.

Battenkill Sports has moved to 99 Bonnet Street/Route 30. There will also be new bikes on sale with huge spring savings from Trek and Specialized. For more information call Battenkill Bicycles at 802-362-2734 from 9:30 to 5:30 p.m. any day of the week.
