BBA to host roundtable discussions

MANCHESTER - Beginning on Jan. 22 and running through April, Burr and Burton will be hosting a series of roundtable discussions and information sessions for all parents of BBA students.

The forum is broken down into three different topics with dates listed: You and the Law - What every parent should know - Wednesday, Jan. 22; Keeping Your Student Safe - How to address Drug and Alcohol concerns with your teenager - Wednesday, March 19 and Smart Practices in the Digital Age - Social Media and Ethics and Internet Safety - Wednesday, April 9.

The first session will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hunter Seminar Room on the BBA campus.

This session is intended to educate parents about the impact risky teenage behavior can have on the family unit.

Presenters will share important information from their respective disciplines about the potential ramifications of poor teenage decision making.

Perspectives from insurance, law enforcement, education and the diversion program will be shared.

Each parent discussion will be led by Burr and Burton staff as well as various professionals from the community.

These meetings are designed to be highly informative and any parent is invited to attend.
