MANCHESTER - Burr and Burton Academy will hold its annual Gala at Hildene. The theme for this year's Gala is "Passport to the World."

The annual Burr and Burton Academy Online Auction, as part of the festivities, is now live and will run through April 30.

This year's auction features many services and unique items. For example, window washing services and chimney cleaning. Among other items are a bench made by Burr and Burton woodworking students, tickets to the ballet at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, an overnight stay at the Holiday Inn in Lake George, maple syrup, a lesson on how to fly an airplane, hanging flower baskets, and jewelry. Over 80 items will be available for viewing and bidding at the auction.

The online auction is open to everyone in the greater Manchester and Mountains community. All local residents are encouraged to get online to look at the auction items. The link to access the site is www.benefitevents.com. Bidding is easy and bidders will be notified if someone has upped their bid.

All proceeds raised from the Online Auction will go to support the Annual Fund and help Burr and Burton Academy continue to provide the best possible educational experiences for the 680 students that attend the school.
