Armed Robbery in Danby

DANBY - Vermont State Police responded to a report of armed robbery around 6:30 p.m. at the Nichols Store in Danby Saturday night.

The suspect is a lone female, who was wearing a dark hoodie with a peace sign, jeans and a cloth mask. She entered the store and passed a note to the clerk, asking for money. The clerk observed that the woman had a black revolver in her hoodie pocket, but she did not remove the handgun.

After the clerk handed over a small amount of money, the female fled on foot and is believed to have used a vehicle to flee the immediate area.
