Armchair travel to the Grand Canyon
MANCHESTER CENTER >> Enjoy an armchair excursion through some of America's most beautiful landscapes — the southwest — on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. at Equinox Village. Hear ranger stories and gain insights about how to embark on a hiking adventure through the canyons. In an illustrated talk, former National Park Ranger Helen Hossley will lead the audience through Grand Canyon National Park and the Havasupai Indian Reservation to explore the turquoise waterfalls of the region.
Hossley was a National Park Ranger for four years. She currently resides in Burlington. Over the years she has used her talents to work with companies and organizations that have a social mission. She has helped reduce energy use on dairy farms and helped to fund energy efficient upgrades and the construction of playgrounds in the Burlington Public Schools. She is currently the Education Director for the Vermont Realtors®, whose overall mission is to increase home ownership.
This free public talk is co-hosted by Equinox Village and Manchester Community Library. Equinox Village is located at 49 Maple St. in Manchester Center. For more information, contact Cindy Waters online at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Library at 802-362-2607.
