ARLINGTON — The Arlington school community has announced its winter chorus concert series. All events are free and open to the community. Fisher Elementary School will host its annual concert on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. in the AMHS gymnasium. All Fisher students in pre-Kindergarten-Grade 5 are invited to perform at the "December: Let's Sing About It!" concert with a mix of classic holiday and winter songs.

The Arlington Memorial High School & Middle School choruses will hold their annual winter choral concert, Thursday, Dec. 10, at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Mack Performing Arts Center. The same concert is performed twice.

This year's concert theme, "Joy is Everywhere," offers many seasonal songs about joy. In addition to the school-wide choruses, the AMHS Madrigals, a select group of choral singers and Patti's Angels, an all-girl singing group will perform. Two duet performances are scheduled with students Elizabeth Fischer and Janessa Hoyt and Maria Duffany and Aimee Frank.

On Thursday, Dec. 17, the Arlington choruses will take their voices on the road for a two-stop concert tour in Manchester with a 10:30 a.m. performance at Equinox Terrace and a 1 p.m. performance at the First Congregational Church for the Neighbor to Neighbor care recipients and care givers.

Arlington Choral Director and Music Teacher Patti Cody encourages everyone to attend the concerts.

"Come one, come all," she said. "These are both such fun concerts, with the little ones all dressed up for their big night, and the choruses performing beautiful songs about joy and the wonderful feelings this season brings."
