Arlington man cited on trespassing charge

ARLINGTON - A 21 year-old man was cited for unlawful mischief and trespassing on Friday, Dec. 28, following an alleged incident involving throwing a rock through the window of the Stewarts Store in Arlington.

According to the Vermont State Police, a call came into the Shaftsbury barracks shortly after 4 a.m. on Dec. 22 reporting an apparently drunk male at the door of the store. while the troopers were on their way to investigate the report, the complainant called back and stated the male had thrown a rock through the window. Upon arrival at the stewarts shop in Arlington, troopers searched the area, but were unable to locate the male.

He was later identified as Justin Holton. On Dec. 28, Holton was arrested for unlawful mischief and trespassing, and issued a citation to appear in Bennington District Court at a later date.
