Arlington High and Middle School Chorale to perform

ARLINGTON - The Arlington Memorial High School & Middle School choruses will hold their annual Spring Choral Concert, Thursday, May 8 at 5:30 and 7 p.m. in the Mack Performing Arts Center. The same concert is performed twice. The event is free and open to the community.

This year's concert theme is "Let's Go Fly a Kite."

"Each year, I ask the high school chorus members to select a theme for our spring concert," said Arlington Choral Director and Music teacher Patti Cody. "They selected Disney music from Disney shows, and they sound great! It's going to be a very fun night."

In addition to the choruses, the AMHS Madrigals, a select group of choral singers and Patti's Angels, an all-girl singing group will perform. On Tuesday, May 20, the Arlington choruses will take their voices on the road for a two-stop concert tour at Emeritus at Filmore Pond in Bennington and the First Congregational Church in Manchester for the Neighbor to Neighbor care recipients and care givers.

The Fisher Elementary School Chorus will perform "A Salute to America" on Thursday, May 15, at 6 p.m. in the Mack Performing Arts Center. The Fisher Chorus Concert, comprised of students in grades 3, 4 and 5, will sing a medley of patriotic songs to celebrate the nation's history.

Cody and the students will be accompanied by Pianist Peggy D'Amour. For more information about the Choral Concert or the Arlington Music program, contact Cody at or 802-375-2589, extension 149.
