Arlington Community Public Nursing Service


ARLINGTON >> Recently The Arlington Community Public Health Nursing Service held their annual meeting. Their mission is to promote and improve the health of individuals and families in the Arlington, Sunderland, and Sandgate communities. The Board of Trustees recommitted its support to its various projects which include funding home health care for the uninsured, financial assistance for urgent medical and dental needs and contributing to other community outreach programs. It also will continue its scholarship program, providing 5 scholarships to worthy students pursuing their education in health related fields. The Trustees agreed to expand its dental program to include Arlington Middle School as well as Elementary students in Arlington and Sunderland. This provides a registered Dental Hygienist to examine teeth, offer teeth cleanings and fluoride treatments, and provide dental education to students.

The following officers were elected for the year 2016: President- Jill Roosma, Vice-president – Jean Freebern, Secretary – Lynn Williams, Corresponding Secretary – Joyce Williams, Treasurer – Diane Jennings, and Assistant Treasurer – Maureen Harvey.
