Alexandra Heintz named to library board

MANCHESTER --The Mark Skinner Library Board of Trustees has announced the addition of Alexandra Heintz to its ranks.

Heintz is currently Administrative Director for Patient Safety and Quality at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center where she has had over 15 years of leadership experience in healthcare quality improvement and patient safety. She is a certified Black Belt in Six Sigma and Lean process improvement methodologies which are used to reduce waste, improve efficiencies and reduce costs in ways that benefit both organizations and their customers.

Heintz has lived in the area for over 30 years and has served on the Sunderland School Board and Arlington Area Childcare Board. She has also worked with several other boards over the years on strategic planning and conflict resolution. In 2012, Heintz moved from Sunderland to Manchester and lives near the site of the new library under construction.

According to Linda McKeever, MSL president, "Alex brings skills, insights, and enthusiasm to what we do, and we are very fortunate to have her join us."

Attend the next meeting of the Mark Skinner Library board of trustees on Tuesday, July 1 at 5:30 p.m. to meet Alex Heintz as well as the rest of the library board.
