ESSEX JUNCTION >> The road to a state championship has come to an end for the Burr and Burton Academy girls hockey team.
BBA looked like they were poised to pull off the upset with a 3-0 lead in the second period over the No. 2 seed Mount Mansfield, but the No. 7 seed Bulldogs were unable to hold to their lead, giving up five unanswered Cougars' goals in the final 16 minutes of the game to lose by a final score of 5-3.
