Tyler King scored the Bulldog's first goal during the second period and James Doherty added the second goal during the third period.
Kevin Souls and Julian Woodrow combined to stop 24 shots on 31 attempts for the game.
"Our biggest weakness tonight was the inability to take a body, we missed a lot of checks," BBA coach Joe Ferrara said. "We have to play better in our defensive zone.
"We played hard the whole game and didn't give up. I was very pleased that the kids didn't quit."
BBA falls to 0-1, while U-32 moves to 1-0. BBA plays next on Dec. 7, when the team travels to Harwood for a 6 p.m. contest.
BBA girls fall
MANCHESTER -- In the opening game of the season, the Burr and Burton Academy girls hockey team fell to Northfield 2-1 on Wednesday night at Riley Rink.
Northfield was led by Kristen Dukette, who netted both goals in the win. Courtney Amell and Hillary Amell set up the goals for Dukette.
Dukette scored the game's first goal late in the first period to put Northfield up 1-0, but BBA's Jordan Harmon was able to tie the game two minutes into the second period when Daisy Sullivan passed to Kristi Lewicki, who found Harmon in the slot to hit home the goal.
"Overall, I was very happy with the effort, and I think we can improve," BBA coach Ed Lewicki said.
But Dukette would have the final say in the game, scoring the game-winner with just over two minutes left in the third period.
"Dukette is one of the premier girls in the state," Lewicki said. "We man-marked her, but we had two lapses and she got free.
"[Sullivan] and Aggie Bisselle were man-marking Dukette, and they did a great job. She is tough to keep up with."
Kaylie Benson stopped 20 shots in net for BBA, while Markie Delude made 10 saves for Northfield.
BBA falls to 0-1 on the year, while Northfield improves to 1-0. BBA plays next on Saturday, a home game against the newly-formed Champlain Valley/South Burlington team.
