BRATTLEBORO - Playing a rescheduled game from earlier this season, the Burr and Burton Academy and Brattleboro field hockey teams played out a 0-0 draw on Monday.
Coach Barb Miceli said that it was both an offensive and defensive contest, with the ball moving around the field fast and constant.
Cubby Arvin-DiBlasio made four saves in the first half for BBA, including a nice diving save to deny a sure goal.
In the second half and overtime, Molly Dingley recorded five saves for BBA.
Miceli also noted the play of Hannah Gianotti in the midfield, and Morgan Bazyk in attack.
The team is now 2-9-1 heading into the final game of the season, a home contest against Fair Haven on Thursday.

Bulldogs blanked
SOUTH BURLINGTON - The Burr and Burton Academy football team fell 28-0 against Rice on Saturday afternoon. Griffin Stalcup led the BBA offense going 15-of-27 for 140 yards and an interception as Rice used an 18-play drive in the third and fourth quarter to keep BBA's offense off the field.
Eric Cerra had 57 yards on nine carries for the 3-4 Bulldogs.

Windsor tops BBA
BBA WINDSOR - The Burr and Burton Academy field hockey team fell 1-0 to Windsor on Friday.
The 1-goal loss was BBA's seventh of the season.
Windsor's Haley Wood scored with 10 minutes remaining in the first half.
BBA pressured in the second half to the tune of 10 shots, but none could find the back of the cage. BBA coach Julie Fifield cited Jean Dorr, Morgan Bazyk and Hannah Gianotti for their play. Goalies Cubby Arvin DiBlasio and Megan Dingley combined for 12 saves.

Hartford blanks BBA
BBA HARTFORD - Hartford's Connor Brooks scored twice in the first 18 minutes to top BBA 2-0 in boys soccer action on Friday.
BBA had chances in the second half but was unable to convert. Adam Maitland had seven saves for the Bulldogs, who drop to 6-5-1 on the season.
