Those planning to attend should meet at the Peru Town Office at 8 a.m. to car pool and spot cars.
Those who attend will hike in on the FR 58 trail to Griffith Lake and clean water bars, clip back brush and remove blowdowns from Griffith Lake south on the Long Trail over Peru Peak to the summit of Styles Peak.
Attendees will walk out on the Long Trail to the cars parked on FR 21.
The hike is a total walk of 7 miles with elevation gains about 1,200 feet.
Attendees should bring lunch, snacks, fluids, warm layers, raingear, and a hat. The Green Mountain Club has extra tools, but participants are asked to bring a hoe or a shovel.
