MANCHESTER - An athletic symposium will be held on Aug. 31 on the second floor, number 509, of the r.k. Miles building from 6-8 p.m.

The symposium is a collective discussion with guest speakers and attendees covering a variety of sports, cross-training, and biomechanics for all athletic levels - social/competitive.

The guest speakers will be Michael Rodriguez and Ron Houser. Rodriguez has had a 22 year racing career as a Nike distance runner/marathoner and triathlete.

Houser is a certified pedorthist (foot & body mechanical alignment) and 26 year owner of the Mountain Goat in Manchester. He has spent eight years as a competitive cyclist here in the US and in Spain.

He has also spent five years as Team E-bay's Adventure Racing Team's navigator.

The fee for the symposium is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 17-years-old.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Community Food Cupboard.
