MANCHESTER - The Burr and Burton Academy baseball team scored 10 runs in the first three innings en route to a 14-0 shutout over Springfield on Tuesday.

BBA remains unbeaten at 8-0.

An RBI double by Noah Rizio in the first and a two-run single by Jake Stalcup in the second helped the Bulldogs put some runs on the board.

On the mound, Rizio held Springfield hitless over four innings, striking out seven.

The Bulldogs added five more runs in the bottom of the third to seal the game. Dalton Blackwell doubled, scoring Alex Alberti to start the inning. That was followed up by Zach Stewart's single, plating CJ Ishu.

BBA falls to Bratt

BRATTLEBORO - The Burr and Burton Academy boys lacrosse team leapt out to an early lead, but Brattleboro ended up beating BBA, 13-8, on Tuesday night.

BBA scored the first four goals and led 6-2 into the second quarter, as Sean Paradis scored five times.

Brattleboro cut the lead to one at the half and held BBA to just two second half tallies.

Sam Siegel, Brennen Zolnoski and Nik Rancourt all scored three times for the Colonels with Siegel also recording three assists. Romello Lindsey finished with 11 saves in net.
