The race is organized by the Batten Kill Valley Runners to benefit community mental health and developmental services.
Runners from about 30 different states and foreign countries love the course, which will be the same this year as before. It starts at The Bennington Center for the Arts and finishes at Hildene Meadows in Manchester.
Anyone interested in helping to put on a very popular, large event is welcome to join the organizing committee, which meets monthly.

BENNINGTON - The Catamount Bowhunters are hosting their first 3D shoot of the season on April 7 on Fuller Road. Registration is from 8 to 10 a.m., with members and non-members welcome to compete.

Zemianek Road Race
NORTH BENNINGTON - Marking the real start of spring, the 35th annual Steve Zemianek Bennington Road Race will take place Sunday, May 5, at 10 a.m. at Park McCullough House.
The race is in memory of Steve Zemianek, former Mount Anthony track and cross country coach. There is a 3.8-mile and 10-kilometer race over scenic, rural countryside, rolling hills and a covered bridge. Awards go to the top three runners in age groups from 12 to 90.
Also coinciding with Cinco de Mayo, the event will feature a mexican theme with pinatas, music, ribbons for those who "beat the sombrero" and prizes for the best Mexican costumes.
T-shirts go to the first 200 entries, $15 pre-registered and $20 after May 3 - or $13 and $15, respectively, for BKVR members - and $3 for kids in the half-mile fun run.
Families of four are $40 and free child care is provided.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. The fun run goes off at 9:30 and the other races start at 10. For questions, call Dave at 802-688-7807.
