MANCHESTER - Burr and Burton Academy students Haley Goepel, Kate Montague, Emily Severance, and Stephanie Souls helped lead the Mount Anthony varsity swim team to a first place finish in the Berkshire Swim League this year with a 10-1 record.

Montague earned all Berkshire Honors for the past three years, and again this year. Severance had swam with the team for two years, Souls for two years, and Goepel returned after missing the past two years.

In addition to traveling to Bennington for practice, Goepel, Severance, Souls and Montague have also traveled to meets in Great Barrington, Mass and Taconic Hills, N.Y.

BBA has been swimming with MAU for the past 10 years and several members from BBA have made all league honors and help the team to first place seasons for eight of the last nine years.
