Sophomore guard Molly Elwell dialed up 15 points while seniors Julia Lacoste and Rayleen Sherman each scored 10. With their fourth win in a row, and sixth in seven games, the Eagles (6-5) climb above .500 for the first time this season.
"That was a good win for us," Arlington coach Larry Andrews said.
Up by one, 18-17, at halftime, Arlington outscored Green Mountain 17-8 in an energetic third quarter to break the game open. Madi Huntley finished with a game-high 22 points for the Chieftains (5-6).
Halligan lifts Bulldogs past Hurricanes
MANCHESTER -- Rory Halligan delivered an inspirational performance for the Burr and Burton Academy girls basketball team Thursday, sinking three free throws in overtime to seal BBA's 39-36 win against Hartford.
Halligan, playing her first game since her mother passed away earlier this month, paced the Bulldogs (6-5) with 11 points. Fellow senior Devin Brown added eight points, going 4-for-4 from the stripe in overtime.
he game was tied 30-30 at the end of regulation.
Claudia Mosher added nine points for BBA, while Stephanie Grobe finished with 14 for Hartford (9-3).
