MANCHESTER - After a long holiday break, the women's ice hockey league returned on Monday, Jan. 7, with Merchant's Bank defeating Team Teal 9-5.

Merchant's Bank started the scoring with Amy Bryan netting her first of three goals with an assist by Barb Miceli. Mimi Zylinski also recorded a hat trick on the night and finished the game four goals.

Wendy Hull, with an assist by Barbara Price, had one goal for the bank team. Newcomer Kim Murphy had her first career goal in the second period, with an assist by Ann Pierce.

For Team Teal, Rebecca Allen scored four goals and Julie Wojtkowski pitched in with one goal.

Women's hockey continues on Monday nights at Riley Rink at Hunter Park, and is open to all women.
