Teal defender Ann Pierce started the scoring for the second period with her famous back-handed shovel shot from the blue line.Zylinski had a quick breakaway goal, her first hat trick of the season. Bryan delivered two quick goals, one assisted again by Miceli.
Bryan's third goal of the period was a blooper between goalie Tiffany Clark's legs, a rebound from a blistering shot fired from the blue line by Merchant's defender Becky Coleman. This saw Bryan as high scorer for the night with four goals.
In goal for the league are Clark and newcomer Crystal Cleary, and defenders Pierce and Coleman each had great performances for the night.
Organized by Rusty Blades Women's Hockey, the women's league plays every Monday night at 7:15 p.m. at Riley Rink and is open to all women.
