Reid Conde and Bobby Weeks each found the back of the net twice. Sean Paradis, Brock Pollard, Zack Stewart and Eli Serota all tallied as well for BBA, who led 5-0 at halftime. Serota's goal was his first at the varsity level.
BBA, which has three games left in the regular season, hosts Rutland on Saturday.
BBA girls blank Raiders
RUTLAND -- The Burr and Burton Academy girls soccer team scored once in each half to down Rutland, 2-0, on Thursday night.
Daisy Sullivan scored her sixth goal of the year with 15 minutes left in the first half to give BBA the lead, then Katy Jones tallied for her second goal of the season off a corner by Maggie Oliver. BBA improves to 6-3-2.
Sherman scores hat trick
ARLINGTON -- Arlington Memorial High School senior forward Rayleen Sherman scored a hat trick to lead the Eagles to a 6-0 rout of Green Mountain.
Molly Elwell, Becca Bushee and Brooke Hawley scored as well for Arlington, who improve to 7-4.
Coach Dan Wood also praised his back four defenders -- Mazie Holton, Jennah Lacoste, Shelby Baker and Haley Davis -- as Green Mountain didn't have a shot on goal.
Arlington plays Leland & Gray on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Eagles beat in OT
LUDLOW -- Black River scored late in the second overtime to beat Arlington 2-1 on Thursday.
The Eagles took a 1-0 lead on Alex Trayah's first goal of the season, but the Presidents tied it late in the first half to make it 1-1.
Neither team could find the net in the second half.
Arlington faces West Rutland in a Division IV matchup tonight at 6 p.m. at the Arlington Rec Park.
Little's 3 goals derail BBA
WOODSTOCK -- Woodstock's Delaney Little had a hat trick as the Wasps routed BBA 5-0. Cassie Bowen and Angela Euker combined for six saves for the Bulldogs, who drop to 0-11 on the season.
