LUDLOW -- Black River scored a goal late in the second half off a deflection and it turned out to be the game-winner in the Presidents' 3-2 win over Arlington on Monday.
Black River had a 2-0 lead at the half, making the Eagles (3-1) come back. Molly Elwell scored to cut the lead in half, but a missed penalty came back to haunt Arlington when Black River extended the lead to 3-1.
Rayleen Sherman scored on a penalty kick for the final margin. Arlington takes on Twin Valley in the John Werner tournament on Thursday night.
