MANCHESTER >> Young children and their parents are invited to Israel Congregation of Manchester, 6025 Main St., on Sunday, May 22 at 2 p.m. for a program on animal care, "Caring for our Four-Legged Friends," to be conducted by the Second Chance Animal Center.

The interactive, hands-on program will focus on ways to keep small animals safe, healthy and happy.

"We want to support an important community service," states Morgan Taylor, ICM congregant, whose two young sons are animal lovers. "Vermont children are so privileged in their exposure to domestic and wild animals. Expanding their comfort level with animals will expand their compassion, empathy and joy."

"Caring for our Four-Legged Friends" will begin at 2 p.m. in Israel Congregation's social hall. It will conclude at 3 p.m. with juice and healthy snacks. Israel Congregation of Manchester is located at 6025 Main Street (Route 7A) between the Northshire Medical Campus and The Town Hall.
