MANCHESTER - On Sunday, Nov. 17, at 5:30 p.m., the Interfaith Council of the Northshire will hold its annual potluck supper and fundraising auction to benefit the Emergency Needs Fund.

This year's dinner and auction will be held at Israel Congregation of Manchester, located at 6025 Main Street, next to the Manchester town hall. Each year, dozens of people from across the Northshire come to the Emergency Needs Fund as a last resort to buy fuel, pay an electric bill, make a rent payment or for other compelling needs that require immediate funding.

Through the generosity of donors from across the Northshire, the Emergency Needs Fund is able to meet many of the requests for emergency funding. The annual auction with Bill Drunsic serving as auctioneer will feature a range of goods, services, vacation homes, food and other items that are sure to appeal to everyone.

"The Emergency Needs Fund is the lifeline for many in our community," said the Rev. Kathy Clark, the chairwoman of the Interfaith council. "Each year our interfaith community takes it upon ourselves to raise the funds to replenish the emergency Needs Funds so that our social safety net in the Northshire is strengthened."
