To the Editor:

Harry Houdini was a world-famous escape artist who performed feats of daring escapes during the 1920s. Others followed him and were never able to duplicate them. Until now. Houdini has met his match. His name? Mitt Romney.

This past May at a fund-raiser he told his audience "There are 47 percent who are with Obama, who were dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, housing, to you name it."

But wait. On Friday, Oct. 1 he said "I was all wrong about them!" As Joseph P. Walsh asked Republican Senator Joe McCarthy from Wisconsin during army hearings in the 1950s, "Have you no sense of decency Sir, at last have you no sense of decency?"

I ask the same of Romney.
