May 9 is Provider Appreciation Day

BENNINGTON COUNTY — May 9 is Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. Parents with children in child care are encouraged to show their child care provider how much they appreciate them. It takes a special person to work in the early care and education field. A child care provider can be shown appreciation by making a card with your child for him/her, giving him/her a tip, donating new toys to the program, or bringing him/her and the children lunch one day. The Bennington County Child Care Association (BCCCA) is the local child care resource and referral agency. BCCCA coordinates professional development opportunities for early care and education providers, administers Vermont State's Child Care Subsidy Program, offers a referral service to parents who are looking for child care, and provides mental health consultations to area early care and education programs.
