MANCHESTER — New England Ringers (NER) returns to The Meeting House of First Congregational Church on Sunday, May 18, 5 p.m., during their Spring/Summer tour. This Manchester stop follows a highly successful FCC appearance in January. The 14-member regional ensemble performs on one of the largest handbell instruments in the northeast. With six octaves of bells and chimes, the music is expansive and soaring. Concert arrangements include the mellow syncopation of Vince Guaraldi (composer of the Charlie Brown theme), a bit of fun and challenge with the Gypsy song from "Carmen," the exciting dash of the William Tell Overture — from Rachmaninoff to 50's rock. The program showcases the imagination and musicality of the arranger/composers, as well as the amazing capabilities of the instruments and the energy and talent of the musicians. This will be another memorable concert by New England Ringers. The Meeting House of First Congregational Church is located on VT Route 7A (across from the Equinox Hotel) in historic Manchester.

Suggested donation $10/adult, $5/student. Handicapped accessible.
