May 15 is art grant deadline

SANDGATE — It's time to apply for a 2008 Wuerslin-Stuecklen Memorial Grant. The grants are awarded to support the study and practice of the Arts by any Sandgate resident.

The Arts means creative endeavors including, but not limited to, visual arts, performing arts, and literature. The amount of each award will be determined by the Award Committee. It is for one year only. The award check will be sent when applicable directly to the chosen institution or supplier of services. The number and amount of awards will vary depending on available funds.

Application forms may be picked up at the Town Clerk's office, or call 375-99075 and a form will be forwarded to your address. Nobody is discriminated by age or any other factor — this is for adults as well as children. Return applications to the Wuerslin-Stuecklen Memorial Grant Committee, 3266 Sandgate Road, Sandgate, VT 05250 by May 15 for consideration. Awards will be made by June 15.
