According to the Vermont State Police, the two vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Vermont Routes 313 West and 7A in Arlington around 9 a.m. that morning.
When police arrived on scene both vehicles were out of the roadway. One vehicle, a 1998 Honda Accord being operated by Joshua Bauscher, had extensive damage to the front bumper. The second vehicle, a 1994 Toyota Camry being operated by Darthaniel Cassan, had extensive damage to the right front fender an wheel. The vehicle is believed to be totaled.
Bauscher was taking a left hand turn onto Route 7A from Route 313 West when he pulled in front of Cassan driving south. Cassan took evasive action to avoid the collision; however the maneuver was unsuccessful. The weather conditions when police arrived were poor. There were dense pockets of fog and it was raining. Police believe weather conditions contributed to the crash. No injuries were reported by either operator. Bauscher was ticketed for the crash.
