WINHALL - On Sept. 9, Vermont State Police Troopers and WInhall Police Officers eradicated two hundred fifty marijuana plants, which were growing within a swamp near the intersection of Stone Cabin Road and Pikes Falls Road in Winhall, according to a report released Monday, Sept. 10.

The marijuana plants were located on Sept.8 during a Vermont State Police- MERT (Marijuana Eradication Response Team) reconnaissance mission using a helicopter and were spread out over two thirds of a mile.

During the eradication, the plants ranged from eight to twelve feet tall and were destroyed on site. The street value of the marijuana plants was estimated between $500,000 - $1 million.
