MANCHESTER - A Manchester Village man has been arrested in connection with allegedly possessing child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office District of Vermont, Matthew Jayne, 44, was arrested Thursday and released on conditions by U.S. Magistrate Judge John M. Conroy. Conditions are that he not have unsupervised contact with children and submit to the monitoring of his computer use.
According to a release by prosecutors, Jayne was arrested after a search warrant of his home was executed by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. Jayne is accused of downloading and distributing dozens of pornographic images involving children using a file sharing
program.
