MANCHESTER VILLAGE - There will be some new faces on Manchester Village's Development Review Board in the near future as four board members will not be returning.

"Terms are up for Diana Olcott, Sheila Foster and Sue Robinson. They do not wish to continue serving, but have agreed to serve as alternate board members as needed," said spokeswoman for the Village's Board of Trustees Amy Swinarton. "Tom Dyett has decided not to continue on the Development Review Board because he is on the Board of Trustees."

Swinarton said the turnover is the largest since she joined the Board of Trustees five years ago.

No new appointments were made to the seven member board last year in order to provide consistency for the application filed by Manchester Hotel Associates who were looking to build a new three-story, 80 room Hampton Inn in the location of the Village Country Inn and the adjoining Nickelwhite property.

Though there was no formal announcement that Foster, Robinson and Dyett would be leaving the board, Olcott - who had served on the board for 14 years - did notify the board.

"At the May 7 meeting she made a formal announcement that she would be passing her position as chair of the Development Review Board to Barry Brown," Swinarton said.

Four people have expressed interest in filling the seats that will be left vacant by Olcott, Foster, Robinson and Dyett and the Village will appoint new members at their meeting in August.
