DORSET - A 24 year-old West Pawlet man was was charged with aggravated stalking, felony unlawful trespass and felony unlawful mischief, following an altecation in Dorset on Saturday, June 23.

According to a report from the Vermont State Police, Antony H. Stannard allegedly entered a residence on Colonial Lane in Dorset without permission and an argument followed between him and two other people, Hannah Andersen, 19, of Manchester, and Daniel Sanderson, 26, of Dorset, who were in the house. Stannard eventually left the house, but as he went to leave the driveway, he rammed his pickup truck into a car owned by Andersen that was parked in the driveway, causing extensive damage to the car.

As Stannard sped out the driveway, Andersen clung to the side of the truck while arguing and was dragged approximately 20 feet before falling to the ground, police said.

The police later located Stannard at a nearby residence where he was arrested. A rifle was recovered from the vehicle that was reported to have been observed at the scene. Police learned that this incident stemmed from Stannard being upset over an estranged relationship with Andersen. Stannard was held on $10,000 bail at the Marble Valley Correctional Center in Rutland.

He is scheduled to appear in Bennington Court on Monday, June 25.
