Beginning on Monday evening and expected to continue through Thursday evening, night work will focus on the installation of new sewer lines along Depot Street and Main Street. Drilling and grouting in preparation for the new bridge railing and completion of the duct work are also expected to take place during this time frame. Work will begin at 7 p.m. in the evenings and continue until 6 a.m. each morning.
The utility companies will be in the roads setting new poles at the Mountain Goat and Baptist Church. As of press time, CVPS had encountered some problems on the eastern side of Main Street which required drilling of the old concrete road and skirting drainage area. FairPoint Communications is planning to place conduits on Main Street in the Merchants Bank area from Monday through Friday.
