MANCHESTER CENTER — United Counseling Service and the Southshire Substance Abuse Coalition are sponsoring another free skate at Riley Rink. Cosponsoring organizations include The Collaborative, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and DuFour Tours.

On Friday, Feb. 5, students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades will be admitted free-of-charge to skate at Riley Rink in Manchester from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m.

Middle School Students from any school in Bennington County and adjacent areas will be admitted for the free program. Skate rentals cost $6 and are not included — those who own skates are encouraged to bring them. Students will be asked to provide a school ID except for 6th graders.

The free skate is one of a series of events that offers area youth a healthy, substance-free social alternative. Contact Kerri MacLaury with questions at 442-5491, ext. 522.

Mtn. School Tubing Night at Stratton Mtn.

BONDVILLE — On Friday, Feb. 5 starting at 4 p.m., the Coca-Cola Tubing Park will welcome students, family and friends of The Mountain School at Winhall. The special discounted rate of $10/person — plus a suggested donation of $5 to total $15 — for a two-hour session will be only available to those from The Mountain School community. Two-hour tickets are normally $22. The tubing park is located in the Sun Bowl area of the mountain on the Big Ben slope. Stratton has a three lane, lift-powered

tubing park that is a short walk from the base lodge and under the lights. The first session is from 4 to 6 p.m. and the second session will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased inside the Sun Bowl Lodge on the ground floor. Just be sure to mention The Mountain School to get the discount. Desserts and other goodies will also be for sale. All proceeds support the 8th grade class trip to Montreal.
