LONDONDERRY - On Thursday, Feb. 28, 38 contestants in grades four through eight competed in Flood Brook Union School's annual spelling bee.
After 13 rounds, sixth grader Corynn Wasyliko won the bee with the word "succumb." She and runner-up, sixth grader Holt Bigelow, went four rounds one-on-one in the finale.
Wasyliko will go on to compete in the Vermont State Spelling Bee at St. Michael's College on March 13.
