"I want to thank Google for their generosity and continued support of our districts," said Dan French, Superintendent of the BRSU. "Our partnership with Google over the last six years has had a tremendous impact on our educational delivery systems, and has greatly enhanced our ability to personalize learning for students."
Chromebooks are laptop computers which run Google's Chrome operating system. Chromebooks are ideal for schools because they are easy to maintain and manage through Google's cloud interface.
The BRSU is located in Sunderland, Vermont and includes the Currier, Danby, Dorset, Manchester, Mettawee, Mount Tabor, Pawlet, Rupert, and Sunderland school districts as well as the newly formed Mountain Towns Regional Education District.
The BRSU was selected as one of twenty districts to participate in "Teaming for Transformation," a national school reform initiative sponsored by the Consortium for School Networking, the US Department of Education, and the University of North Carolina.
