To The Editor:

I am writing in support of the appropriation for the The Manchester Community Library. If ever a project has proved it's worth, it is the MCL. As promised it has become a civic and cultural center for the community, and shapes the perception of tourists and others of Manchester as a place they may want to visit again or move to and do business in.

Additionally, the economics are favorable. The small increase in taxes for me at least, less than $50 a year, is more than offset by the money saved on purchasing books and magazines, movies, music, and internet access. And, how do I attach a dollar value to the days I just want to get out of the house and sit in that wonderful reading room or outside on the patio?

Don't be penny wise and pound-foolish. Support the MCL request, and keep a good thing going.
